Bespoke

Bespoke Suits

Cut from scratch to your body and taste — the highest level of fit and detail we offer, in premium English and Italian cloth.

Made only for you

Bespoke means a unique pattern drafted to your posture and proportions — not adjusted from a base block, but created for you and kept on file. It is the truest expression of custom tailoring: every line, from the shoulder to the trouser break, is refined across fittings until the suit looks like it grew on you.

The cloth

Choose from Super 120s–150s wool, wool-cashmere, linen blends and breathable tropical weights that handle the Bangkok heat. We will guide you to cloth that suits your climate, occasion and budget — the single biggest factor in how a suit drapes and lasts. New to suit cloth? Read our guide to the best fabric for Bangkok's heat.

Detailing that is yours

  • Lapel shape and width, single or double-breasted
  • Working cuffs, pick-stitching, contrast lining and buttons
  • Trouser cut, pleats or flat front, and finish
  • Optional monogram and personal touches

How it compares

Bespoke is the top of our range. If you want most of the benefit with more speed and a lower price, made-to-measure is an excellent choice — see how the two compare on the custom suits page, and check the price guide before you decide.

Frequently Asked

What makes a suit bespoke rather than made-to-measure?

Bespoke drafts a pattern from scratch for your body; made-to-measure adjusts an existing block pattern to your measurements. The practical difference shows up in asymmetry — if one shoulder sits lower, your posture leans forward, or your arms hang differently, a block pattern fights you and a bespoke pattern does not. Most people have at least one of those and have never been told. For a symmetrical build with no strong quirks, made-to-measure reaches a very good result for less, and we will say so.

How much does a bespoke suit cost at My Suit Bangkok?

Full bespoke starts from around ฿16,900 at our Pratunam shop, against about ฿7,500 for a made-to-measure two-piece. The gap is drafting time and hand-work, not better cloth — you can put the same fabric through either route. Fittings are included at every price level rather than billed separately. The exact figure is confirmed at your first fitting once you have chosen cloth and construction, before anything is cut, so there is no number arriving later that you did not agree to.

What is canvas, and why does it matter in Bangkok?

Canvas is the internal layer that gives a jacket its shape, and it is the one thing you cannot fix afterwards. A canvassed jacket has a floating layer that moulds to your chest over time; a fused jacket is glued, and in Bangkok humidity that adhesive eventually fails and the chest panel bubbles. There is no repair for that. You cannot see any of this from the outside, which is exactly why it is worth asking any tailor which one you are buying — including us.

How many fittings does a bespoke suit need?

One or two fittings for most garments, with a third added when the suit genuinely needs it rather than as a formality. The first appointment is measurement and cloth. The second is where the basted garment goes on your body and the shoulder, chest and waist are corrected with chalk and pins — a pattern is a prediction, and this is where it meets your actual shape. Fittings are part of the price, so there is never a reason to skip one to save money.

Which cloth should I choose for a bespoke suit here?

High-twist tropical wool between 200g and 260g for anything you will wear regularly in Bangkok. Weight is the first decision, ahead of mill or Super number: a heavy cloth that feels reassuring in an air-conditioned showroom becomes unwearable on Phetchaburi Road. Linen is cooler but creases within the hour, which suits a garden wedding more than an office. Very high Super numbers are beautiful and fragile — better treated as occasion cloth than daily wear. We will put two weights in your hands.

Can a bespoke suit be made on a short trip to Bangkok?

Often, provided you come in on your first day rather than your last. The constraint is almost never the sewing — it is leaving enough hours between fittings for a correction to be made and checked properly. A two-piece in cloth we already stock is far more achievable than a three-piece in a fabric that has to be ordered in. Bring your departure date to the first appointment at My Suit Bangkok and we will tell you plainly what fits, including when the honest answer is that it does not.
